Retired Health Care Executive Married 2
How quickly fifty years have passed since our high school graduation!  Seems it was just yesterday I was on my way to school on University Blvd, what was then a gravel road south of Arapahoe Road.  I remember thinking it strange the school was built on open prairie in rural Littleton. The development that has occurred to the south and west of the high school over the succeeding 50 years has been incredible!

My life has been more than I ever dreamed.  Still married to the Love of My Life, David Gies, an Englewood High School graduate, we have spent the last 46 years building a life together.  Now retired from interesting and challenging careers, Healthcare (me) and Philanthropy and NonProfit Administration (David), we are blessed to have good health, still able to enjoy Colorado's many outdoor activities with our two children and two grand daughters who all live in the Denver Metro Area.

Adventurous oversees travels to England, France, Germany, Ireland, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Egypt, Mexico and Africa have introduced us to new peoples and cultures which has enriched our lives!  Stateside journeys on historic Route 66, Lewis and Clark's route as well as visiting various National Parks via motorcyle and RV has been a joy as well.  And as the song goes.......'still got a lot of livin' to do...."

As I think back to high school, I recall theatrical plays, concerts, pep rallies and academics, all of which prepared us well for the next chapters in our lives.  I remember fondly the many teachers who influenced my life.  I think of Mr. Wayne Henry who not only taught me English, but also how to write; Mrs. Diane Henry, Mathematics instructor; Latin under Ms. Elizabeth Scott; Social Science taught by Mr. Reginald Holmes and Mr. Tim Tarleton; Chemistry taught by Ms. Ellen Heeren and Choral Music taught by Ms. Marcelene Dillon.

Officially now considered 'senior citizens', we have weathered, learned and experienced much in life. I look forward to 'catching up' with the rest of the class of '67!
