law school professor Married 2
I left Colorado shortly after graduation, and have had virtually no contact with anyone from AHS since then.  Thus, etched in my memory are a group of 18 year olds from AHS, forever young.  That is, until now, when I see photos and hear updates of classmates 50 years later.  That is truly fascinating, and it has been fun reminiscing about those years.  Many thanks to the organizers for bringing these memories back.

After Colorado, I settled down near Madison, Wisconsin.  My wife, son, and daughter have been the joys of my life, but I  have been lucky enough to enjoy my job, and I have managed to have much fun along the way with sports, music, gardening, and travel.

I can't say high school was blissful for me.  Those years can be tough in our desparate attempts to try to figure out where we each fit in--and that was certainly the case for me.  I did get a good education.  I enjoyed playing on the tennis team; tennis has proved to be a life-time love.  I have fond memories of my favorite teachers, including Mr. Tarleton and Mr. Backes.  Still, I feel like if I could, I would live those three years over again.  But this time I would reach out to others, participate in more activities, maybe even talk to female classmates--something that utterly eluded me during those years out of sheer fear.

It has been a good ride, and I look forward to hearing more about my classmates from this site, or perhaps at the reunion should I be able to make it.

Retired Math Teacher Married 2
You might remember I always loved being in a math classroom, and still do, today.  I taught middle school math for over 30 years, mostly at Campus Middle School in Cherry Creek.  Now I supervise secondary math student teachers, very part time.

My favorite days are those spent with my 3 granddaughters: Avery, almost 8; Kassa, 7.5; and Sloane, 4.  I spend time with the girls every week.  I am extremely lucky that my two children and their spouses, Jaci and Brock Smith, and Cindy and Travis Wanger, live in the Denver area.

My husband Andy and I love traveling, gambling, attending many Colorado Rockies baseball games, and going out to dinner.  I love reading, and enjoy playing golf and bridge, though I'm not good at either.

retired Committed Relationship 1
After graduating from CU, I married my high school sweetheart, Jeff Fry.  He started Law School and I started working at The Denver Dry Goods.  I worked for them for 10 years.  Jeff and I divorced and I had an offer from Rich's in Atlanta, which I took.  Disliked living in Atlanta so I moved back to Denver and worked for May D&F for 3 years.  I then moved to Los Angeles and went to work for the Broadway.  In 1986, I met my second husband, Jim, on jury duty.  We were mattied in 1989.  I left the Broadway in 1989 to become and independent sales rep for 6 ladies accessory lines.  In 1993,  Jim and I purchased 2 pieces of property In La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Mexico.  In August of 1998,  when our house was completed, we sold oour house in LA and moved to La Cruz permanently.  La Cruz is just 15 miles north of Puerto Vallarta and our property was right on Banderas Bay.  We had an exciting, fun, frustrating time in La Cruz.  Luckily, Jim spoke fluent Spanish and I was able to pick up street Spanish.  Unfortunatly in December of 2005,  I had to rush Jim to the hospital.  He had internal bleeding.  They tried to repair the bleeds, but unfortuntely couldn't.  He was techically "gone" in 3 days and it took me another 3 days to get them to take him off  the machines.  I put the house in La Cruz up for sale. because right after Jim died, my Mom was diagnosed with Parkinsons.  So I found a one level condo in the Tech Center, moved my Mom in in July 2006.  I went back to La Cruz, closed on the house and was back in Denver October 31, 2006.  Since then, my Mom has passed away, my borhter and his wife are back from Beijing (where they spent 4 years), my oldeest nephew and his family are living in Cairo, Egypt and my niece and her family live in Thornton as does my youngest nephew.  I met a wonderful guy and we have been together for 4 1/2 years.  And I am a member of a great group throough the University of Denver called OLLI.  Life is great for this moment!
