"Old Warrior Picnic"

Enjoy spending time with your classmates again. All Classmates from ’66, ’67, ’68, ,69, and faculty are invited, including your family. The AHS ’67 reunion committee has rented a great gathering place and will be grilling burgers and hot dogs. We’ll also provide the buns, condiments, plates, cups, and eating utensils. Food will be served around 2:00 P.M.


You bring the salads, sides, desserts, and drinks (we also need ice). Please note no alcohol, except 3.2 beer, is allowed.

Please RSVP on the AHS ’67 website by Thursday, August 16 if you will be attending and what you are bringing. The Website is   You can go to "Detail of Events" page for information. Next go to the "RSVP" page  and choose the picnic event on the drop down menu at the top of the page. Please list everyone who is coming so we have an accurate count. Finally, go to the "Guest Book" page and click on “Please sign our guest book” and enter your name and what you’re bringing.


We will be in Shelter B which is covered and seats at least 60. It’s wheel chair accessible and has a paved ramp from the parking area. Restrooms are nearby. Park on the East side of the park in the lot across from Weaver St.


Insect repellent and sunscreen are recommended.

Reconnect with your classmates.The View House has panoramic views of Denver and the Front Range. The stories will be fun and outrageous. The cash bar starts at 5:00 and continues until we close it. The Signature View House Taco Buffet will be from 6:00 to 8:00. The live music will be Classic Rock and Blues. This is the beginning of a memorable weekend. The "Cash" bar is cash only! No checks or credit cards. There is an ATM machine on premise.
Dinner and Dance

The Dinner and Dance will be at the Sheraton Denver Tech Center. Buffet dinner starts at 6:00 PM. There is a cash bar. Dancing to sixties music provided by the DJ Tyler Brody Co. We anticipate that the music and dancing will be hotter than a stolen jalapeno. There will be a nostalgic photo booth for you to take pictures with your classmates. Dress should be business casual to dressy. Sorry no shorts. The cash bar is "CASH" only. No checks or credit cards. There is an ATM machine at the hotel.

Golf Tournament

This Denver area golf course located in Littleton, CO is a par-72 that plays between 5130 and 7045 yards depending on tee location. The established landscape provides some challenging elevations and water hazards for the experienced golfer, while our fairway designs can be used to make Raccoon Creek the perfect course for the first-time golfer to learn how to play. The golf tournament is open to classmates, their spouses, and their sons and daughters. Golf fee includes green fees, cart, range balls, Pro-shop prizes for top finishers. Golfers, the tournament will have a shotgun start at 7:30 A.M. You should probably be there no later than 7:00 A.M. You can get a breif warm up if you would like. Range balls are included in the fee.

Arapahoe High School Tour for Classmates of 1967
Date: Saturday, August 19, 2017
Time: 1:00 – 2:00 PM.
Directions: Parking on the east side lot off S. University Blvd. Accessible ramp at this door.
Tour guide: Former faculty member, Richard Backes.
If you have not visited our school since the 60’s, you will be pleasantly surprised with the new internal layout and expansion. You may also find that old meeting places and familiar sights will bring back memories, hopefully fond ones.
The east parking lot provides ample space for personal vehicles.  We suggest that you arrive early as the tour starts promptly at 1:00 PM.

Western Welcome Week Parade

WESTERN WELCOME WEEK PARADE (Saturday 10 a.m. –noon)
Chris Keyser is finalizing details of our participation in the parade. We have three cars in the parade, following the AHS marching band.
If you would like to march along with your '67 classmates you should meet in the Arapahoe Community College (ACC) PARKING LOT A no later than 9 a.m. There will be school buses that will drop you off at the parade staging area on Gallup. Or you can be dropped off by someone on Datura and walk to Gallup. At the staging area, look for the AHS balloons that will be on the three cars that will be in the parade. Chris will meet everyone there.
